Designed by Katia Engell (a wonderful member of our team of Extra Nifty Dogs), all proceeds from the sales of this bandana will be donated to The Bitove Method. 

Katia (she/her) is a Toronto-based creative who has been working with The Bitove Method team for nearly decade as a visual artist, alongside her creative and compassionate colleagues who all specialize in their own art modalities, too.

The Bitove Method is a space of creativity, engagement, learning, and connection for older adults living with memory loss (and their care partners!).

Their team is a group of professional artists specially trained in their unique, relational caring philosophy which focuses on the power of connecting, of learning from one another, and of challenging the stigmas of dementia and aging.

Their philosophy is rooted in research and culture change movements in the fields of long-term and dementia care. They believe meaningful relationships have the capacity to rehumanize people living with dementia, and tap into their capacities, rather than focusing on disease and loss.
